Many years, 1980 ish, ago my father had an operation there. He wasn't a Mason (he was against the principle of masons) but his consultant operated from that hospital. He had a lot of operations over the years but I remember his saying it was the nicest hospital he had ever been to. It wasn't smart, it was the peaceful atmosphere he liked. We were from Warwickshire and I visited him there post op. Its why I live in Chiswick now. I had driven through Chiswick to get there and when I came to London it was the only place I knew! I never left....
