Grove Park Surgery

went there for my flu jab, with the very precise time of 10.07 for the injection. Imagine my surprise to find a queue of elderly folk (like myself) right the way back to the Coop, itself closed 'due to lack of staff'. I eventually got jabbed around 1037, after more queuing and a bit of bureaucracy. Obviously pleased to be jabbed, and the people were very nice but what is the point of having appointments timed to the minute if it's actually more of Great British Queuing Situation?

So you had to wait half an hour ? At least you have it now ….. I know that surgeries have a massive problem with people simply not turning up for their appointments…. So I guess you should be happy 😃

Its because people turn up early or to early and the result is a queue.What time did you turn up for your 10.07 appointment. I take it it was close to 10.00

I think the OP query is silly.He should be grateful he was jabbed within half an hour.There are areas in the world that would love that service.If it was a case of people jumping the queue.. that's another matter and I'd lead the jeers and action!

30 minutes is a very short wait, especially if the queue is full of elderly people that may need extra help, only need one person to have a bad reaction or other problem to cause a delay. The staff are so busy trying to do so many flu jabs in between normal appointments. My sister does flu jabs in her doctors surgery, dreads it every year as it’s such a busy time and frequently has to give up her weekends to do it. I bet lots of people turned up early for the appointment making queue longer.
