Energy support payment

Today we had notification of our first energy support credit on our utility bill. I feel slightly uncomfortable about receiving this. There are many for whomthis winter will be a real hardship.  I would like to have been given the choice about whether I wanted to accept the payment or perhaps be given the choice about where the money should go. NHS for example.

Can I suggest that you donate it either to the Trussell Trust which runs Food Banks locally, or to Depher, which provides plumbing and heating services free to the old, disabled and vulnerable?
