Tried  ORÈE ?

A new Coffee Shop on Chiswick High Road along from Boots.I'm sitting at Table No.1 now.I liked the coffee and pastry but Michael Winner RIP would  have complained about my wobbly table!Pleasant,clean and airy.And a temping display of bread,pastries  and filled baguettes.Pop in. Card only. How am I going to get rid of all this cash in my pocket? :)

We were put off by the noisy, echoey atmosphere in there. A few softer surfaces would help. Their offer seemed similar to Olly and Steen.

I will try it but it has to be said that the coffee shop economy looks very vulnerable as when people are hit by high costs and interest rates they will start looking at their discretionary spend and may realise how much goes on coffee.Although I plan to reduce I won't be able to cut it out altogether and will continue to visit local independents on the High Road like Rhythm and Brews, the Italians and Hothouse.

We had a couple of (takeaway) desserts from there yesterday. Pricey but high quality. I'd go back. The Banana & Coconut Cake is pretty special if, like me, you have a sweet tooth. Friendly staff too.

Yes have tried it. It is OK but depends what you want.  IMO Rhythm & Brews, Nikki's and Chateau are better but then again I like cake with my coffee!

Went last week. Coffee was fine but the pistachio bun thing looked appealing but was quite dry. Sitting at a table was a bit noisy. Staff friendly. Overheard a takeaway customer complain to another staff member that the guy serving her was wiping his nose with his hand and then touching food.

Tried it this morning and every other table occupied.  They are quite close together.  Loos not marked as such just a disabled sign on the door.Liked the coffee and found the carrot cake tasted good but texture too smooth and a bit cloying.  The 2 cost £8.  I did think the range of cakes etc. was not great and not really special enough to make them stand out from the others on the High Road.  But what about their baguettes?  I am longing for a really good French baguette.

Orèe is open till 7.30pm.That could be handy for some...as many coffee shops close at 5pmThere was quite a lot of pastries and cakes left over at the end of the day. I wondered what happens to that residue... especially as another delivery will be arriving from the Acton Factory in the morning!My baguette was tasty but too substantial for a body like mine.Table 6 was wobbly this time. I like the place and staff  and will return.
