No, it’s supposed to be prohibited on a Sunday, Paul - get out there and rage and have a siesta later !

Same thing is happening right now at Chiswick library in Dukes Avenue. Hounslow Council prohibit weekend working after 1pm on Saturday but clearly they feel it doesn't apply to them.

I'm going to venture a guess a primary school has an exemption. Ditto a library but less so.Otherwise you'd have scaffolders (not the most delicate of species) banging about during school hours imperilling your children. I'm also guessing Saturday isn't an option because the school might be open for one reason or another. Not that different than trying to schedule road work during the least busy time.

These people would not just turn up with an enormous lorry of scaffolding and costs/expense etc... The school & scaffolding company would have been given authority by Hounslow council to allow this to happen. all pre planned and authorised. School should have put a sign up or something alerting residents of its authority to allow this work to go on. And apologise for any noise or inconvenience it causes.

Are you sure it’s not lead on the roof being removed illegally . This has happened before on other buildings.
