Hounslow Matters Newsletter - Chiswick Cinema
"The Chiswick Cinema is celebrating the cinematic heritage of the local community with a programme of six films this September. With a remarkable set of Q&As also held across films either made locally or by locals, the cinema are thrilled to be championing the wealth of talent on their doorstep! It all starts with a screening of ‘The Servant’ on Friday 30 September at 6.30pm. Written by former Chiswick resident Harold Pinter and with his widower Lady Antonia Fraser in attendance, the festival will embrace the diverse cultural heritage of the area."Unless there has been some new sex-equality re-naming that has passed me by, I always thought that a "widower" was a man whose wife had died, not a woman who had lost her husband, who would be known as a widow.
