65 year old Eddie Butler, ex captain of Wales, later journalist and commentator had a beautiful, sonorous voice, whose description of passages of play, amid the mayhem down on the pitch, would often sound poetic.His English co-commentator, Brian Moore would often disagree with each other during play, particularly during Wales/England clashes.On news of Eddie Butler's sad news today Brian Moore posted:"Ed, I'm sorry I never told you how much I admired you as a broadcaster and as a man. Well, it wasn't like that between us was it. Sport has lost an iconic voice."
