Cycle lane btwn Chiswick Lane & TGT

I am asking those who might be in the know regarding the cycle lane between Chiswick Lane and Turnham Green Terrace.The question I have, is who do I contact regarding that stretch of cycle lane to confirm preferably in writing or at the very least a name I can write to, regarding the dates of closure of said stretch on a certain day/week of this year and when was it officially opened to all riders? I'm guessing its TfL as opposed to Hounslow Council.  If anyone knows of a specific department or person I can contact, I would be most grateful if they could point me in the right direction. Thank you.

Everyone is being kept in the dark. In Cranbrook road, a one way street, some parking spaces have been suspended to make way for a passing bay (2 ways), Reason: Road closure. It’s from next Monday to the 7th October. The residents have not been warned and most of them are unaware of it. We suppose they are going to close our road at the junction with CHR to work on the cycle lane. We suppose… No detail on Hounslow website. It’s going to be interesting (and dangerous) next Monday if our theory is right!

Martine, if it is anything like the operation between Goldhawk Road and Chiswick Lane you can look forward to a small army of construction vehicles along with enough materials to to build the Great Wall of China invading your neck of the woods. Quite where all this will be parked up and stored I have no idea.

There is an obvious place to park up all these construction vehicles: the cycle lane!But the council should have a duty to warn residents  of a one-way street that it’s going to become 2 ways in a few days, with one end closed!But again, that’s just a guess from our part.

Yes, an obvious place however look forward to it spilling out on to the pavement, adjoining roads and possibly CHR itself with traffic flow control lights.If only a proper job was done in the first place instead of the ridiculous "emergency" foul up then the pain would be behind us now.

From experience I can tell you they will close off a portion of the cycle lane for construction vehicle parking. They will also use the pavement at the intersection of Chiswick Lane and the High Road. And they will take away pavement seating for businesses, even though there is plenty of space for additional vehicles in the closed cycle lane for parking right next to the other parked vehicles. TfL and LBH will provide no compensation for business interruption. By some accounts, the total build will last for four years.Businesses deserve clarity and support from TfL and LBH. To date, they have not received it.
