The Honourable Lord of Chiswick..
I was at a funeral in Hampshire yesterday (Rowlands Castle) and afterwards found myself speaking with someone who said he was a member of a United Nations Committee.We had both had listened to Lord Young of Norwood Green (north of Osterley Park) give a tribute to the deceased.This gentleman then asked me whether I knew the distinguished Lord Hannay of Chiswick. I replied that I was familiar with his name and knew that he had served the UK at the UN...but other than that did not know of Lord Hannay's connection with Chiswick.. my birthplace.Can anyone enlighten me? Is the highly respected Lord Hannay a Chiswickian?
