The Sunday Times claims today that many backbench Tory MPs are seriously considering submitting letters of No Confidence in Liz Truss the moment she starts. They would then urge Johnson to stand in the subsequent leadership election.Entertaining as it is to watch the Conservative Party spontaneously combust, there is a country to be run.

It took the best part of a year talking about No Confidence in boris before we got a vote in which he won. Id say those wanting but willing will be around 20. Hardly many if even that number. Who wrote the article ?

Jayne, the money will be nice but for people like Boris it's more about status & power both of which he has lost spectacularly.I bet, given the chance, (God forbid) he would jump at the chance at getting his old job back.
