Steer clear of Park Royal

A car fell onto the tube lines in the small hours. Much disruption.

This sounds absolutely horrific. It is amazing that two out of the three people in the car survived. Hopefully they make a full recovery.

It looks absolutely horrific from the one photo I saw on the skynews web site. If I hadn't read it I wouldn't have imagined anyone could have come out alive from the car that ended up on the rail tracks.You can't even recognise the make or type of car from the photo.

There is footage circulating of the Range Rover smashing through the Tesla garage. It's pretty shocking.

I know someone who works for JLR.He says they crash test the RangeRovers at 65mph and the damage is nothing compared to that.

So sad, from what I have read all occupants in the Range Rover we young in their 20’s, it is amazing anyone survived. I suspect speed and police checking alcohol levels of the driver may be the reason for such an unbelievable accident. Landing on the tube tracks is unbelievable.

Allegedly travelling at 120mph (according to some press reports).

..but as others have suggested, the Range Rover must have been hurtling through the Tesla Garage yard, not along the A40, colliding with a Tesla with someone in it, possibly at a charging point, and then crashing through the perimeter fence and footpath and onto the railway line. I'm sure an explanation will emerge.

The A40 re-opened early evening. Traffic was awful through Acton most of the day.

From the CCTV it appears the Range Rover came off the A40 and rolled through the Tesla yard.

Not reported but having looked at the video provided the range rover is upside down and skating along on its roof at high speed at impact with metal railings of which we know the rest.
