Not so Happy Place

Apparently thieves targeted the stalls overnight on Friday after set-up and before the festival started, and got away with thousands of pounds worth of stock. Public liability apparently  doesn’t cover it and it would seem the festival has said it can’t cover it either. People who were selling there were told it would be safe because there was was 24 hour security (two guards at perimeter fence).

I did walk by the festival at the weekend and it struck me it would be really easy to nip in without paying. There was just a low hedge near the fountain that a reasonably athletic could have just hopped over. That may have been the way the thieves got in.It is a shame because the event did seem to be really good and the tickets were not outrageous as many of the events at Chiswick House can be. If I'd have known about it in advance  I might have gone along.
