Are Hartington Road and Stavely Road now open for unrestrictive access from the A316 please?

Will it be required to read the full T's and C's at speed prior to making the turn off the A316? Or will LBH and TfL create a sign fit for purpose?Nothing quite like having to read the fine print with someone on your tail. Say a loaded HGV perhaps.

This is from the council's website but note that they are excluding one day: the 16th of September ...pettiness personified and, undoubtably,put in place to catch unsuspecting motorists who have become used to the lifting of the restrictions and may forget the one-day aberration.To minimise disruption in the local area, we will be suspending enforcement of the access restrictions on Hartington Road and Staveley Road (between its junctions with Great Chertsey Road and Burlington Lane) during the following dates:Saturday 6 August – Thursday 15 SeptemberSaturday 17 September – Wednesday 12 OctoberSaturday 26 NovemberSaturday 3 DecemberSaturday 10 DecemberSaturday 17 Decemberhttps://www.hounslow.gov.uk/homepage/215/hounslow_streetspaceMay the fleas of a thousand camels infest the armpits of the idiot who came up with this daft idea.

Does that mean non residents can also access and pass through Hartington Road and Staveley Road, I mean as well as registered residents?What abut Thames Road, does that have restrictions and are those removed as well?

"No change to the signs for Hartington yet."The message on Hounslow's website says "we will be suspending enforcement of the access restrictions" on certain dates. That suggests to me that the signs will not be changed.  It's just that Hounslow won't issue PCNs to people who ignore the signs on those dates.

"That suggests to me that the signs will not be changed."Thats ridiculous.. surly they should cover the signs up at least.. that way there would be no doubts.  What about people who haven't read the notification on their website.

As I drove on the A316 yesterday the signs were not covered, so I did not try either road. Then had a 30 min nightmare going to Hogarth Roundabout and then to the Sutton Court Road turning lane. I had been down in deepest Surrey and travelling home- the A3 was fine-the M25 was fine- the M3 was a dream-the A316 was fine- then the problems started. I was fuming that I had not come in via the M4 but am a creature of habit! ( no relation to Peter Crowther that I am aware of!)

Not removing or covering the signs:laziness and stupidity, the hallmarks of this pathetic excuse for a council.

To get to the M4 at lunch time Wayz took me up Chiswick Lane, wriggling through the Glebe Estate to CHR then into Duke Road, Barrowgate Rd, then Sutton Court Rd, then right to the M4.Coming home around four I sailed through to Homefields but noticed nose to tail going east.

Their updated website makes for an entertaining read, they’re still calling the 1st Commonplace web shambles a consultation! It would be enough to convince an adjudicator in an appeal I'm sure, perhaps even to award costs if Hounslow rejected an appeal against a PCN in such circumstances.
