Temples of Industry exhibition at Gunnersbury

Anyone remember the great Phil Pardoe's Golden Mile exhibition in the 1980s. The best that Gunnersbury has ever done and I still have the excellent book and postcards that were produced. Looking forward to this one - it has a lot to live up to though. I wonder if it will include the Lucozade sign?

I remember that exhibition. In one room there was an exhibition of local made products. I have the book that you mention as well. Very very informative.

James Marshall's book about the history of the Great West Road is the one to read.It's out of print..worth about £100 on sales sites..better still to attend one of his talks. Yes.. many famous occupants on the Great West Road.All are famed... but one or two not the nicest of employers!
