EVRI

Over the last 6 months we have found that whenever we have a delivery arranged through EVRI within 24 hours either of us will receive a text message to the effect ‘sorry we missed you text/ring ……… to arrange a new delivery’.  Yesterday we were told that there would be a surcharge and so on.At first we fretted that we had missed a delivery and now we note every order made and tick off when it arrives.I know this to be a scam and just delete but the worry is the the scammer seems to have access to confidential information about our purchasing and the company using EVRI to deliver.  This leads to data security at EVRI and whether such breaches are being taken seriously.

I get the EVRI scam email when I get deliveries from DPD too.The plot thickens.

So EVRI appears to be re-branded Hermes.We had something via them the other day - late but a genuine delivery with no odd messages...  yet?

I had my first EVRI delivery a couple of days ago. I’d wondered where my parcel was, so tracked it; it showed that the parcel was inexplicably delayed and continued to show a ‘delayed’ notice after it had been delivered. No, I don’t understand either.The only upside is that the lady who makes the EVRI deliveries - and, in the past, parcels from Hermes - is absolutely wonderful and we adore her.

I used to get parcels from Yodel who w were brilliant but all the companies changed to Evri. Same if they were using Hermes before it became Evri. If you had any regular deliveries that changed your info is passed on to Evri by the company you bought from. I would not worry too much about scams unless you don't get your parcel because apart from the very nice woman who is now wit Evri the rest of them are still absolute shite. I have had text messages saying item delivered only to find they did not ring my bell and left it outside on the doorstep 5times complained each time. The bad customer service and high insurance costs will send the companies back to previous carriers. I give it until January

I had an amazon item to send back for a refund. Amazon offer a scan and print service at the local Evri parcel shops (usually in local shops). This also means you do not have to package it. So I went off to the local shop in Fauconberg and the guy there said they could not do it because they don't have the boxes to pack with. I got on to Amazon, as other local services were all Evri shops. Amazon said they were having problems with Evri and simply gave me a refund without having to send it back

I had to return a mini cooler to Amazon. Carer took it to Budgens on Faucenberg no packaging just the bar code on the phone and they took it and refund made the same day

Have not ordered anything for several weeks but despite being in all day Monday, we missed a delivery and also owe them money.  Oh no we don’t.
