Sewage smell now affecting Southfield Rec.

Recently some people may have noticed a sewage smell affecting Southfield Rec and nearby.I have logged it with a Council officer so they can investigate but they say they need a few people to give details, so they have some evidence.If you have any observations please send your name, email and phone number to me at gary.malcolm@ealing.gov.uk so I can contact the Council so more info can be collated.Thanks,Cllr Gary Malcolm

Is it coming from the water treatment plant at Warple Way? If so I'd guess the prolonged heat has dried out the water tanks there.

Difficult to distinguish that fro the other horrible smells from the industrial estate including the dairy that back onto Southfield Rec.  They keep the lorry engines running presumably to keep the milk refrigerated and the diesel smell and fumes on top of everything else is vile. By the way, you were very keen to have the street lamps in the park and as taxpayers we paid for it.  Is it too much to ask that they actually work?

I've never noticed an unpleasant smell from the dairy or any of the other businesses on the industrial estate although the noise is a constant.The last time I went through the park at night the lights seemed to be working okay in the central section but I've never seen them switched on in the path around the perimeter which nobody is likely to use at night anyway.

I bumped into neighbours in the park yesterday evening who like me live near the park. They back onto it and said even keeping their windows closed the diesel smell was awful and the fumes are stinging their eyes. It was really bad at 9.30 last night, I had to hold my breath as I went past until well after the playground area. Bad for all our health.  The lamp by the tennis courts has not worked for months.
