Just saw an ad on facebook. Worth mentioning on here. a company called ETMS are looking to recruit unqualified staff to be crossing stewards. 18+ Great for anyone whos after a less than part-time job. 6 hour shifts, evrey home game for BFC and London Irish.

Thanks DesmondWhat qualification will these people be lacking, and what job will they be doing that requires a qualification to cross the road exactly.Is it a slight familiarisation with what a road is and how pedestrian crossings work? Something we were taught by our parents at 3 years old ?Alternatively, can you direct me at what university course can qualify me for "crossing the road without being mown down by a car"Thanks.

I'm pretty sure Desmond's reference to the posts being open to people who are unqualified was to indicate that anyone could apply rather than suggesting safety standards were being compromised.

Possibly I've misunderstood this completely, but from what I can see the OP was merely trying to be helpful and was simply quoting the job description. Rather than expectng himself to be subjest to the third degree.or the Spanish Inquisition. Possibly he won't be making that mistake again, anyway.

I wouldn't undermine the op too much, in some countries,Australia for one,the job of controlling traffic and people flow at possible incident points is a job for which a qualification in that area is needed.
