Can anyone recommend a local solicitor for will writing?

I agree, Gervase handled my parent's will and was a great resource to my Dad, Steve Dennant, when he was still alive, my Dad said he was marvelous and he really is

It was time to sort our wills and after reading the comments about Gervase on the forum decided to use Heritage & Probate to advise and prepare them for us. Gervase  was excellent, listened to and understood our wishes, explained clearly the options available to us and provided a very friendly, professional and efficient service.We were looked after by someone who clearly is an expert in his field and would not hesitate to recommend his services.

We had no complaints at all when Gervase advised us many years ago. At that time  he was not, I remember, a qualified solicitor but he certainly is now and is still evidently highly thought of.

Gervase recently processed a POA for me. It was very well explained & executed with efficiency & ease at a very good price. He went on to give the same excellent service based on my recommendation. Always so helpful and easy to meet up locally.

Re my post above, I confused the services provided by Gervase's business (which I have never used) with those of an accountant that someone on here recommended to me, at the same time, and the names coincidentally were quite similar.Gervase has not asked me to print a retraction on here but I am happy to do so as my post above (now removed) was incorrect.  I apologise, Gervase, I got this wrong and am pleased that you have a thriving and well regarded business going forward.

Hello Denis, with respect a POA is totally different product.   If a person dies a POA will not prevent their daughters husband getting his hands on the deceased  inheritance which they have given to her in their will.

Gervase is a great guy ,a bloke you would want a drink with and as a STEP qualified practitioner he is at the top of his game.Wills are intersting you  can go really deep for example you have a daughter but she is about to marry an absoloute so and so...you die so she gets your money but he is maybe bankrupt or abuser, druggie, gambler ,they get divorced he gets his hands on half your money.BUT you can put her money in a trust so when you go ,it goes into her trust and he cannot get his grubby mitts on it,for stuff like that Gervase is your man!

Would reconfirm the choice of Gervase having used him several times on related Will matters for family and friends - the number of recommendations on this posting show how highly regraded he is, though worth mentioning that he does not provide other non-Will legal services I believe.
