Alex Bellfield accused of stalking

I'm following this on YouTube-Alex Bellfield.  He is taking on the Police, BBC and J Vine amongst others.  I'm not going to comment further as I don't want to get into a discussion of an ongoing case, or at all for that matter.  Alex Bellfield is apparently allowed to post information as he is a journalist.  Just wanted to draw attention to it in case anyone is interested.

If you don't want to get into a discussion about something why start this thread?Being stalked is an awful experience and men can suffer from it as badly as women. Anyone who is a victim of it has my total sympathy and nobody is fooled by your feigned disinterest in the subject.

I believe from one or two comments by others, that she subjects others to the same treatment.

Isn't he being accused of stalking 8 different people over a period of 8 years? Whether you believe in the "mainstream media" or you think it's "fake news"  at least it has to answer for any misleading articles. YouTube isn't regulated in the same way.  Opinions very quickly turn into "facts"

I don't know what you're getting at or why you always seem to put someone's name in lights when you reply, but in my opinion Vine often courts publicity and when it backfires plays the 'poor me' victim card.As for the effect he claims it has had on his daughters,I did not read the story but my point still stands.Perhaps he might reconsider his publicity seeking activities in the future, after all what is he actually famous for..presenting a few TV and radio programmes.So what?

Some of them have been stalked for almost a decade. Can you imagine it? I can't.  And, sure, one of them happens to be Jeremy Vine, and he happens to be riding a penny farthing and posts videos of him cycling on Twitter. But there's another 7 people, another 7 families, and I daresay that they don't deserve to have their past ordeals be put under a cloud of doubt because some people here in Chiswick don't like cyclists. If Jeremy Vine drove a Volvo I bet Maggie Dodge wouldn't have opened this thread. I think this thread ought to be closed; we are looking poor taste in the rear-view, here.

No Janice there are some opinions that people are not allowed to express 'wherever they want'. A racist expressing a racist opinion in public might get prosecuted and rightly so.Do you think it's ok for someone to express a racist opinion on social media that is accessible to all?If you don't then people clearly can't express (some) opinions wherever they want.(This is an analogy by the way, for complete and utter clarity I am not in anyway saying or suggesting that Maggie is in any way racist, she has done nothing to make me think this is even remotely likely to be the case).

I find Alex Belfield quite revolting. His language makes me cringe. Is he a stalker? , has the case come to an end? Anyone see /hear what Amber Heard accused Johnny Depp of? Domestic and sexual violence. Nearly destroyed his career. He won the case , she lied.

I’ve listened to a lot of the daily reports of the case. Has anyone else? He’s proving a lot of people have lied, and so many comments of “I don’t remember”Policeman turning up without his  notebook 🤷‍♀️He’s been accused of numerous troll accounts but the police have searched his tech several times and found nothing. I can’t  remember half of.  He’s demolishing a lot of what he’s accused of. Anyone seen what the police are accused of these days? I don’t like him but I think he’s being set up . I think he’s disgusting in many ways, but I think he’s most guilty of having a vulgar mouth and saying what he thinks. What I don’t hear evidence of is that he’s a liar. If he’s innocent as I think he may be, I’m rooting for him. If I’m wrong, I’m wrong.

I listened to the day 15 podcast. Not having attended the court I have no idea how accurate Alex’s recounting of proceedings is.If you have ever attended a trial you will know that a key defence tactic is to undermine and question the evidence presented by the prosecution. If course Alex isn’t going to present any facts that undermine his protestations if innocence. One thing I did note that Alex said in his report which is factually incorrect - he referred to the BBC as a government organisation or something similar to that - it isn’t.Have you actually seen anything on YouTube that outlines what the prosecution have been saying and alleging Maggie?I will await the decision of the Jury (assuming it is a Jury trial which I expect it would be as it’s being held at a crown court).You may be right Maggie, Alex maybe be innocent, I have no idea one way or the other but the CPS clearly believe there is a case to answer and I’ll put my faith in the jury system. It doesn’t find innocent people guilty that often (and I totally accept there have been multiple miscarriages of justice, but as a percentage of the total number of convictions the figure is small)

I repeat have any of you listened to what is being reported regarding the trial? If not commenting so aggressively  is really very unfair, just based on headlines.I also repeat Amber Heard accused Johnny Depp of the most heinous acts. Violence and sexual violence that caused him untold misery for years. She lied. So far she has not as far as I know been taken to court for perjury. It seems it’s quite easy to make up stories or twist the facts. Do you know how many people fake or twist stats?  The BBC and  Jimmy Saville, do I need to say more? . The Police are being accused of horrendous things. I think just maybe AB I’d trying to stand up for himself.

Not sure what Jimmy Saville has to do with this, has he been mentioned in the course of the trial?A question, apart from following what Alex Bellfield has been posting on Youtube, have you been following any other sources of information re. this trial? What have the people who Alex is alleged to have been stalking been saying?Amber Heard v Johnny Depp happened in the states. Johnny Depp initiated the case against Amber Heard and she filed a counterclaim.

A police officer who is daft enough to go to court without his notebook is not evidence of innocence just evidence of numptying stupidity of a police officer

Maggie thinks the victims deserve it because they work for the BBC. 

One of Belfield's false allegations was that Jeremy Vine had fraudulently taken  £1k and donated it to a colleague's memorial.Maggie also made false allegations of fraud against one of JV's mates. She ended up with a legal bill and had to make an apology on this forum, which she and her mates tried to hide.  JV humiliated Maggie by posting the apology on Twitter.  
Maggie's support of Belfield is a personal grudge against JV. You just need to remember that Belfield and Maggie are similar: one is a relentless troll who makes up outlandish allegations and conspiracies to harass people online while claiming to be the victim and the other is on trial for criminal stalking.

Alex Jones admitted he lied about Sandy Hook,  while making millions out of spreading lies to his followers.  Although the internet can be a good thing,  people are able to "tell their side" without being held to journalistic standards like the "mainstream media".

What we've seen on this thread, and by anyone who bothers to check Miss Dodge on Twitter (plus, I'd say, the post immediately above mine) are emblematic of how much damage social media are doing to our civilisation. It beggars belief that you can still have proof, more proof, proof laid upon proof and an extra side of proof about some topic but YET there's some people who will still refute all that.Bellfield not being a stalker, Sandy Hook, Covid not being a conspiracy to implant whatever, chemtrails, Qanon... the list goes on.

It’s absolutely shocking that these people lie and twist the truth, but still people believe them.  Even on this platform I find it sad how contributors talk to (shout at) each other.  Whatever happened to debate?  The internet is dividing us further by putting people in “camps”.
