I’m so sorry to hear your cat has gone missing. I completely agree with Carol on post a picture through doors. We went to Ryman’s and got lots done. Put on it clearly to please check sheds, garages. Impress you’re worried about dehydration and neighbours will get urgency. Posters up too. Word of mouth with neighbours reinforces it’s your cat on the posters. A neighbour thankfully found ours after 3 days - think he was just out hunting in the heat and not trapped at all. Their behaviour often changes in July august due to heat and light nights. And mice etc!Go out early and late when the cat is likely active. Call and wait for response. Walk back to your home from where you call. Put scent markers out of your window, sweaty clothing, their cat litter in garden. The amusing and heartwarming thing is that I now get texts from people streets away telling me where he is! It’s really helpful and shows many eyes on the ground, in nooks and crannies, in sheds and up high are much better then just us trying to find him. Good luck.
