Ruth Cadbury

Any ideas on how to contact her? I am told ghosts are more visible. Seriously though, I have tried calling and writing, yet no response. Assume she is still our MP?...

“I do respond if people provide their home address so I know you’re a constituent - and due to the sheer number of constituents needing urgent help (eg eviction, visas/passports needed for family emergency etc) we can’t respond immediately to other constituents”.

I have known Ruth for many year - and was for a long time a colleague of her as we both served on Hounslow council. I had to write to her via snail mail at the beginning of May regarding a problem I had had with the ESFA, with copies to the then Education Minister Nadhim Zahawi and his shadow equivalent. Answer came there none until I  penned a rather peeved e-mail - then I got a response p.d.q.! So far nothing has been heard - but to be fair - I'm not surprised with all the nonsense swirling around Westminster, However, I'm not letting my complaint go - so will keep tabs on it until I do get a proper response.

Sadly, it's just a case of just keep trying.Her office doesn't answer the phone & her staff are truly, truly useless. You might get an answer to your email in two to three weeks, but whatever you contacted her about will be finished by that time...Your best route might be through a local councillor.

Among one of several instances of homophobic ASB, I appealed to Ruth. I have her mobile so I texted her. She told me to email her "directly" which I did. Based on previous experience similar to the example given, I asked if sending an email would make a difference.Sadly, it did not. As I knew it wouldn't. On the up side, we now know Ruth isn't interested in ASB and homophobia.

I'd say that not fulfilling your remit as a constituency MP is pretty anti-social, and will be remembered at election time by some.I have only had one instance when I felt I had to contact my local MP,ant that was when Mary McCloed held that position.From initial email to her until the issue dealt with was 3 weeks, including a meeting with her an an aide.It wasn't an issue of life or death either.

Sometimes we expect far too much for the pittance of £84,144 on which the poor dears have to scrape by. Add the £232,977.52 for Office and Staff costs claimed by the Honourable Member for Brentford and Isleworth in 2020/2021 (which mysteriously reduced by close on 90%  in 2021/22 as they was no declaration of staff costs made) and you can see how they might struggle to answer requests.
