I have to make a couple of long-distance drives in the coming week. So that I don't go bankrupt can anyone advise where the cheapest unleaded can be found in Chiswick?

Asda in Park Royal is usually the cheapest locally. Not quite Chiswick but might be worth the journey if you’ve an empty tank or it’s roughly en route.

Avoid filling the tank on Sundays perhaps.. when the pumps leap a seemingly small amount.Tescos at Osterley has generally lower fuel prices..to beat off competition from the nearby Shell Garage(Gillette Corner)

The lowest I know of is the Sainsbury's at Manor Road (just off the A316 towards Richmond).

Yep according to petrol prices Asda is still cheapest. Followed by shell or BP on the A40 at Park Royal then jet in Brentford. Sainsbury 6p/litre more than Asda.

And if you all go to the same one they'll run out and you'll cause a worse problem and end up travelling far further using more petrol. Is there really such a lot of difference in price?

Difference between the lowest and highest price locally, according to Petrolprices.com is 14p/litre. Filling an average 55 litre tank would therefore be £7.70 more expensive, mot pennies.

Today (Sunday), Manor Road Sainsbury's is 183p, the garage on the roundabout is 185p and the newly refurbished one on the north side of the A316, just past Darrell Rd, is 187p.
