As usual the Ealing Council website is totally unhelpful at providing any really useful information to residents. Has anyone heard if there are any changes to recycling day post Easter (ie next week) please?

I'd suggest popping along to the Stirling Road tip, but the Council closed it!

If you mean blue/black bin recycling, it is on the normal day. The recycling centre is, AFAIK, closed on Friday and Monday.

I'm sorry you're finding it difficult Clare this link might helphttps://www.ealing.gov.uk/site/custom_scripts/waste_collection/waste_collection.aspx

Thanks, Tessa, that link is to the general recycling site that tells people what their usual collection day is, says nothing about Easter.

Yes, and as yet I still don't have a car so impossible to get to any tips on foot or by public transport anyway.
Ah, ok, thanks, Nigel, good to know it will be Tuesday as usual.
Thats because no change to collection dates.

They must think their residents are psychic. How much effort would it take for them to put that on their website?
Oh ye of little faith, they have collected on BH Mondays for a while and do update the collection dates.
I agree with Claire that the LBE website should be updated so that it can easily be checked at holiday times. The Christmas & New Year times seem to be top of a list of news. Not everybody will have been living in Ealing and know what happened during the last Bank Hols.I moaned about not having updated info for Christmas several years ago to Mik Sabiers. I had had to use the Search to find info - it was the previous one - it turned out that it was the same re days but of course the date it was issued was wrong. Tessa is right too - most recently Ealing has chosen to make it easier for everyone by expecting collections to be carried out on Bank Hols. It's simpler but after all the hassle of the time or times when they collected on different days particularly before collection day it is hard to accept and get used to. It is good to be able to easily check. The Around Ealing magazine is not being delivered to me any more but the dates were usually in this and you can I believe still request it.Household Waste & Recycling Centres or Reuse & Recycling Centres have not been called the tip for probably 20 years+. What happens to our waste has changed. If you have not discovered the Ealing and TRAID collaboration for the collection of clothing and small electricals - check it out. There is also www.recycleyourelectricals.org.uk - and as ever www.trashnothing.com.

It will always be the tip to me. Even though not there anymore
Maggie Dodge ● 1622d
Called the same as the council that closed it!

I never thought they’d do it! It’s disgraceful.
