Printer

Can anybody suggest/recommend an All-in-One printer? I have a Canon MG5750 at the moment, but it's packed up after 3/4 years of good, reliable use. Unfortunately Canon don't make this model any more. The paper has to be fed in from the the front, and also exit the same way, i.e. nothing going in or out vertically.

Also think about how you are going to dispose of your old printer.  You may be able to book a collection st the same time as delivery for instance.  Or take your old one in when you collect - or sometimes later.  Saves the later hassle.Did you check online in case it is an easy fix?  (I think I could have fixed mine if I'd had better eyesight at the time!  And the time and energy.)

My last two HP All in Ones have been a nightmare.  I thought I was just unlucky with the first - it stopped pulling the paper through unless I manually forced it down.  The second one was like that from the beginning - it's a real pain. I am also in the market for a new printer but it won't be HP.  Prior to the last two they were ok.  I suppose they were cheap - but the cartridges certainly aren't!

Ouurs was a Canon MG3650 with paper going in the front and lasted us 5 years with no trouble.There is info online on understanding the flashing light code for faults and youtube videos too.  Unfortunately they do tend to go wrong at the most inopportune moments when life is hectic.New ones now seem to have tanks for the different bottles of ink which is supposed to be cheaper or maybe better for the environment.  We don't need to print as much now as we did three or four years ago.  We were worried for tickets at the Music Museum recently as we only had them on a mobile and that was fine.I keep hearing Curry's offers on the radio but they may not have what you want when you manage to flag up some attention.www.recycleyourelectricals.co.uk has info including how to remove data.  Not sure I discovered with the printer or what info stays on it if any.

My HP has the same problem as Claire's, shame because it copies photo's really well and the printing was always o.k.

I have an HP Deskjet 3050 which I have had for more than 10 years with no problems.
