We recently used mybuilder.com. You post details of the job needed and builders etc contact you to arrange a quotation. We found a really excellent guy who did an exceptional job in the complete refurbishment of the main bathroom (including floor replacement). T C Construction - based in Mill Hill so not local but I would highly recommend. He was reliable, thorough and very personable. He is pretty booked up though.....
