Farage has quite a track record in praising Putin. Farage delivered what Putin wanted in terms of destabilising Europe.

Apparently the majority of Russians still support Putin, does that make it ok?Like all populist’s He tapped in to that dark place where bigotry lives and cast it as taking back control amongst other things when it was for the majority immigration all along.

Richard, you are so addicted to whataboutery as a deflection tactic that you even deploy it in relation to Farage, not just your beloved conservatives. Mr Farage's notoriety in this is a soon forgotten side show when the really important focus is that majority Hungarians voted rightwinger and pro-Russian Vikor Orban back as president of Hungary, being a member of the EU and NATO, in unprecedented historical European fashion other European leaders must have to scratch their heads and marvel at. What does this say of Hungarians?

Stewart,I don't associated the two but hey,associate away if you like.The referendum was an opportunity for people,particularly those who do not feel that they have beneffitted to express what they thought of our position in relation to the Common Market.Or is it EEC or the EU? Anyhow, most of the people to whom I refer are those who live in the disaffected,poorer and more deprived towns and cities..What they refer to down here as 'the provinces'.Maybe we should all have been paying a little more attention to these places instead of ignoring them.
