Huge Indoor Yucca Plant - Free for Collection

Hello all, I have a branched 11 foot high yucca plant in my conservatory that has outgrown me.. and probably needs re-potting and a new home where it can keep growing. I am worried it will eventually die if not re-potted.  I called Kew Gardens to see if they would like it but they don't accept plants. So, if anyone has the space in their home to house it, it can be collected (although would need several strong people to carry it out of here).  It needs lots of light and space so is not a house plant for the faint hearted (imagine Day of the Triffids) I will miss it! (but not the sharp leaves stabbing me when I try to squeeze past it) Strand on the Green location for collection. Thank you!

Deborah, if no takers I think you could plant it in the ground outdoors,preferably in a sheltered spot.I have done it in my garden and it has thrived for many years.

I think I am right in saying you can cut all the roots off a Yucca making it shorter and re pot it.

Thank you both. As no takers (gah) I will likely plant in the garden and see how it goes. It's in a relatively small pot for the size of it, so I can't cut the roots down. Amazed it has grown as much as it has, was tiny when I bought it.. 6 years later in a sunny warm conservatory it is a giant! Looks like this weekend I will be dragging the behemouth into the garden somehow... :)

Have one in the garden it flowered for the first time last year and the flower stem was about 2ft tall full of lovely flowers the plant is about 6fttall.
