It's not what I would call a typically residential area. The buildings opposite are the church and a vicarage, you have shops and restaurants adjoining it in the Direction of Turnham Green terrace, and on the other side on that block again it seems to be more commercial premises rather than residential.The nearest truely residential streets are further away than they are from a lot of other pubs.
