Desktop PC Repair Advice
I have a four year old Dell Optiplex PC that has recently had problems with communicating with the screen - the screen with the Dell logo comes up but immediately goes off and then keeps flashing off and on. In theory I have a warranty onsite repair agreement with Dell but they seem unable to keep to it. On the phone they diagnosed it as a graphics card problem so would need the motherboard replacing as the motherboard includes the graphics card but their engineers don't turn up when they are supposed to and then provide excuse after excuse for not being available, then said, despite me paying for onsite repair service, they will have to collect to repair it and if it needs the OS reinstalling I could lose all my data.I have done multiple reinstalls of operating systems on many machines and have never lost data and have totally lost faith in Dell after our recent issues. Does anyone know a good, competent person or firm who could provide onsite PC repairs? I don't think this is a complex problem, likely just motherboard replacement but that is not something I can do.
