Two nuclear powers invaded and slaughtered thousands upon thousands of people in 2003. The leaders of those two countries weren't 'taken out' instead became elder statesmen.Putin is from the wrong side of the tracks obviously?

Saddam Hussein was responsible for the deaths of around one million people, mostly Muslims. Taking him out was a service to humanity, just as it would be if someone managed to remove Putin. However, if they did so, let's hope the future Russia would not descend into internecine warfare the way Iraq did.
