Local venues for birthday party

I'm thinking of organising a birthday party for around 20-30 guests, perhaps at lunchtime or for afternoon tea, as there would be several elderly relatives coming. It could be a sit down meal or a nice buffet. I've been looking at restaurants/venues in central London, but wondered if anyone had any recommendations for anywhere local? Thanks all!

The Queen‘s Head on 12 Sutton Lane North is my suggestion,Do both buffets or set menus or a la carte,And a fireplace in winter and a garden in summer,Enjoy your party

There is a lovely barn/private room in the garden behind the Cross Keys W4I went to an afternoon tea there.Perfect cosy room.

Hi Gina, I will second the Cross Keys but I would suggest checking out the catering first. It used to be fine but went through a time when the food was on a par with British Rails in the 70's being shipped in and reheated. Hopefully it's much better now.By the way local rumour has it that James May of Top Gear fame has bought into the business. Only rumour mind but he does live very  nearby.

The Bingham Hotel in Richmond (although not exactly local) is in a great location right on the river and does a very good afternoon tea.

If you wanted to have your own caterers you could rent the hall at St Nicholas Church Church Street W4 would probably work out much cheaper than a restaurant.

Age Concern, Oxford Rd, North, W4,  have a perfect place it's modern, spotlessly clean, warm and can cater for your small group very easily. Two very large halls it has fully functioning kitchen spotlessly clean toilets and parking for  upto 10 cars.

Seems doubtful he has. Its a fullers pub and I think they own all their pubs. I looked at the menu a few weeks back and it didn't look very inspiring. Might be ok in practice though

And if you choose a venue that doesn’t do it’s own catering, Grove Park Deli is a local business which does great function catering

St  Michael’s Centre in Elmwood Road is another possibility. Grove Park Deli  could cater it

Give the George & Devonshire a ring. they're on the Hogarth roundabout. They have a function room and can cater if wanted.Speak to Ian.

Chateau Chiswick ( 213 Chiswick High Road)  by the Police station (ex) lovely bright room upstairs for private parties and do lovely menu also.

The Chiswick Memorial Club has a lovely,large upstairs room complete with bar.
