Man with knife near Twickenham Bridge
From https://nextdoor.co.uk/:On Saturday 12/02/2022 at approximately 7.45PM, a friend and I were walking towards Twickenham Bridge along Ducks Walk when we spotted a man emerge from under the steps of the bridge holding a large curved knife above his head. He then proceeded to charge at us with speed. Thanks to some extraordinarily kind and brave strangers we managed to get away unscathed. Nonetheless, police have still yet to confirm whether they have apprehended the individual and he may still be seeking to cause harm in the area. From the placement of this individual, it would appear he was waiting for a victim to walk down the steps of the bridge to the river walkway, where his placement would have been visibly concealed. I urge all reading this to be extra vigilant when walking/ running during these darker evenings and to avoid the areas surrounding Twickenham Bridge if at all possible. If you do have any sightings or information which may be useful to aid the police, please do not hesitate to contact me and I would be happy to provide our crime reference number so as to ensure any relevant accounts of the evening are correctly linked.Anyone is also welcome to screenshot this post and repost it on other community pages or personal pages on other socials.
