Armani scam in Chiswick

Beware of a 55+, Italian-looking man, in black Peugeot, claiming to be lost on his way to Heathrow. He claims to be a marketing director for Giorgio Armani, leaving in hurry after a fashion show. He obviously has 'free samples' with him which he 'wants to get rid of to avoid import taxes', and will try to sell you one (or more). Nice looking, smooth talker, I was only surprise he didn't come on a bicycle ;)

I came across exactly the same scam over 10 years ago. He was in his car on Chiswick Mall, claiming to be lost on his way to the airport. I thought that in itself was an unlikely story. He was disappointed that I was not at all interested.

Yes, I too met him a while back in Dukes Avenue, "lost" in his car on the way to the airport. Exactly the same spiel. If anyone else meets him, I suggest giving the police his car registration number.
