Hit and Run in Acton Lane

Did anyone witness a hit and run accident at 4.50 pm on the pedestrian crossing in Acton Lane (near the entrance to Sainsbury's car park) on Wednesday the 9th? A lady was crossing the road and there were some witnesses. If someone got the registration of the car please contact CONNOLLYS Chiswick or the police.The lady received cuts and bruises but was released from hospital the same evening. However, the driver needs to be identified.Thanks

Appalling that the driver didn't stop, hope he/she is identified and brought to justice.

I think there is an ANPR camera at the junction with Chiswick High Road because people have been nabbed there for a ULEZ charge. Don't know if the police would be given access to it by TfL - you would have thought they should be but logic often doesn't play a part in the way things work.

My neighbour was knocked over on a zebra recently and has fractures.  Please be extra carefully everybody - however you are travelling!

Not sure why the police don't issue appeals for witnesses when this sort of thing happens. Hopefully in this case, it is because they have already identified the driver.

They do put notices out on the road to say there's been an incident and ask people to get in touch if they saw anything.  There's one on either King Street or CHR at the moment.  I can't remember how far down it was but it's heading Westbound and happened at 7.30am.
