Finding missing Lease

How does one find the Lease on a private property?   Original was moved from one solicitor in Kent, to another practice in Richmond, that person eventually moved to a far flung practice and has now vanished along with all the paperwork/files!   Presume the Lease will be filed with the Land Registry or some other official body.   Phone number and address please if someone on here can advise.  Many thanks.

Land Registry? Freeholder/managing agents of block? Mortgage lenders?

Assuming you're after the lease you own on a freehold property (rather than a lease on a property you're renting from a landlord), then you should be able to download the title deed on land registry site. It costs £3. https://www.gov.uk/search-property-information-land-registry
