They seem to be re-phasing the traffic lights at the junction of Staveley Road and A316. Traffic is currently backed up to Chokers corner and beyond.

There just seems to be a lot of traffic this morning, off the M4 East, A316 to Hogarth, the Circular from Mortlake to Kew Bridge and Kew Rd to Kew Bridge.

Traffic and Telent long gone now.Quite possible Telent guy was on a maintenance task.Don't know for sure but it must be possible to change timings remotely ( control room).Anyone know for sure.

They most certainly can from the control suite in Southwark. Good friend of mine, now retired, was a Met officer attached to the TfL traffic control centre there.

Paul, Suspect it was them fixing the faulty pedestrian phase; they can sense it remotely but they do need to send someone out to fix it; at least that is my understanding.

Thanks for the info. As an ex maintenance engineer ( telecomms) I had to attend to faults In cabinets in the street,otherwise known as street furniture. Equipment not wiring cabinets. So I have an interest.
