Does anyone know a local school/charity which collects and recycles empty ink cartridges?

You should be able to recycle them at any Ryman stores as they have a number of recycling initiatives.

You can also request a freepost envelope from Argos in-store to take part in their ink catridge recycling scheme.
The last time I did I used The Recycling Factory where you could choose from a number of charities to donate to. You downloaded a freepost label. It looks as if you now have to do as you are doing and looking for a bigger collector to add your cartridges to. It is worth noting that they have a list of thr sorts of cartridges which they sre looking for to refill. Itlooks as if they get a lot of unsuitable ones from reading the comments. It would be interesting to know if anyone has successfully used them recently. They are listed on Recycle Now. Charity shops sometimes had a box for them. Once full a courier would be sent to collect them.
