Lights at Staveley Road Barrier

Could someone who lives near them check they are working okay? I cycled passed them yesterday evening in both directions and each time a car crossed my path in the opposite direction when I passed the barrier. When I looked back at the lights the driver had proceeded correctly on a green phase but I too had a green light.It may be that this is correct and that the lights just apply to pedestrian crossings but the green light turning left out of Park Road into Staveley Road and turning right from Staveley Road does give the impression you can proceed with priority.

As far as I know they are just for a pedestrian crossing.The current arrangment isn't good.  If they are keeping it, they need to put in some signs for cars to give way to bikes going straight on.

i also think it's just a pedestrian crossing. I have always considered it quite a tricky junction for cyclists, it was easier before

I've been very dim and very lucky. I must have cycled through those lights over twenty times thinking I had priority over traffic on the other side of the barrier. Thanks for clearing this up.

Traffic travelling south on Park Road is likely to increase due to people seeking to avoid the ULEZ and because of the Staveley Road restriction so it is probably worth looking again at how this junction is signalled because I agree it is confusing both for drivers and cyclists.
