I have no "dog in this fight", but reading through the thread it occurs to me that the problem is not so much that drivers may not ever go where they wish, but that it is so complicated that they are deterred from even trying.Therefore it shouldn't be beyond the wit even of LBH for them to publish a map of the area online, with a facility whereby people could enter their starting location and destination, along with the times they wish to enter and leave, so that the map indicates which routes are permitted and which are prohibited. Parking spaces, both within the area and close to the outside of the boundary, could also be denoted, along with bus routes and stops. It might also include pubs, shops, restaurants, schools, surgeries, leisure facilities and other places which people wish to visit.Drivers should be able to download this onto their mobile phones, so that they can consult from their cars before they enter the restricted zone.It shouldn't cost too much to design, certainly just a fraction of the revenues which the PCN's will generate.So that if our local Councillors are unable to reverse or significantly modify this scheme, they could at least propose this suggestion to LBH as a mitigating exercise?
