Reduced service on the Overground this week

Trains will be running only half-hourly from Richmond to Willesden Junction until at least Friday. Staff Shortages.

I had to use this line last week on Sunday 2nd from Gunnersbury and the train from Richmond terminated at Willesden Junction where we had to wait for another train on the same platform and line to travel further East. I think this was because of engineering works but I have noticed that the service from Richmond now seems to be referred to as the Richmond to Willesden Junction service rather than Richmond to Stratford as I think it used to be. So has there been a permanent change to this Overground service?

No - no change to the service - the trains out of Richmond are still going to Stratford.I can confirm this as I have used this service from South Acton to Willesden Junction on numerous occasions recently for my volunteering as a Vaccine Steward.The train does seem to be held at Willesden Junction for some time though - this seems to be in order that they can change drivers and also (presumably) so that they raise the pantographs, as the service works on a overhead supply from Willesden Junction onwards.Bad news about just the one train every half an hour this week though - will need to be careful to time my journey this Thursday...

It does tend to wait longer at Willesden Junction at the best of times.
