Haven’t studied this in great detail but it looks like some very commendable forward thinking that was sadly lacking in a number of governments and organisations with responsibility for people’s health and welfare.

There was a very interesting piece on R4 at about 11am yesterday which discussed the whole Q thing and how it potentially started in small American towns back in the 1800s. Witchcraft is definitely part of it, or at least the propensity for people to believe that some women were evil, drank the blood of babies and so needed to be burned. It looked at the events leading up to the invasion of Capital Hill last year and in particular the insane ramblings of the bloke in the fur and horns, The Shaman.Michael appears to be of the same ilk ...I read a thing based on the BS Asymetry Principle which states that 'The amount of energy needed to refute BS is an order of magnitude bigger than is needed to produce it' and I believe that to be true. Discussing anything with MB is exhausting and ultimately pointless, especially when he insists upon posting links to ridiculous articles that nobody is going to click on.

Good image :)Generally I found in the US and the UK it was a lack of education. Obviously there are clever ones that manipulate the mob and some seemingly normal types that shut off their critical thinking. I've heard some amazingly crazy ideas but one technique of these bozos is to bombard you with dubious sources of information.

Hence: vaccine passports ; no entry to bars, restaurants, cinemas, etcThereby denying potential business to those running bars, restaurants, cinemas who may be quite happy to have unvaccinated people on their premises.I have no problem with non-essential businesses choosing to seek some form of confirmation that people have had vaccines, but as long as they inform their potential punters what their policy is, that's as much state involvement I personally would want to see with the situation as it is.

What purpose do these passports do? If one has a passport does that mean that you cannot catch and give Covid? I think no is the answer. The usual riposte from the ‘knee jerk reactionaries’ as someone dubbed them, is it reduces  the risk. But if you have just 2 jabs, what’s the odds there, compared with say, someone who has had no jabs?

Should vaccine passes be introduced and a restaurant, bar etc made it clear that it would not comply then I would not spend my money there.

The vaccine passport is not a guarantee - being fully vaccinated simply means you have a substantially reduced chance of getting ill and spreading the virus. Therefore if everyone in a restaurant is fully vaccinated then that is as safe for everyone (customers and staff) as is possible. And the restaurant can stay open and earn money. Not having the passport means:- going out to restaurants means taking a risk- this creates the possibility that further lockdown and business closures become necessary - there is no consequence for deciding not to be vaccinated; that is, this person might be a risk of infecting others but can be free to integrate as if that risk doesn’t existYour freedom to not be vaccinated should not impinge on my freedom to go out. No one should be free to create an unnecessary risk for others, especially as some of these others might be vulnerable. The alternative is that these vulnerable people are the ones who cannot go out.

As for spreading…well you might be more than a little way wrong there. In fact, you might well be spreading misinformation. My suggestion is do some homework before spouting off any more.
