LFT availability

I know I'm slow but this fashion of using capital letters in lieu of written English on this website increasingly leaves me confused at times.Is this a cunning plot amongst some contributors to keep the subject exclusive to a few or just laziness on their part?To start with.....will someone explain what LFT represents?
