Turntable repair

A family member needs to find a repairer who could replace the drive belt on a Sony turntable, before Christmas. I know of a repair shop in Devonshire Road, but not the address, name or phone number, nor can I go there myself. Can anyone supply the information, please? I could ring up and find out.

It used to be Euro Electronic, 134 Devonshire Road, 0208 987 9962, but I have an idea they closed some time ago.

The place on Devonshire Road has closed down. oranges and lemons in battersea do turntable repairs but it tends toward the high end of the market. If it’s just the belt that needs replacing you might be able to do it yourself, worth looking up on YouTube to see. On my turntable (not Sony) I just lift off the platter and remove the belt which is little more than a large elastic band.

Fuse Lodge 02089946275 is at 267 Acton Lane. They have a good reputation though I've not used them myself.

I agree it should be a reasonably simple repair as drive belts are regarded as "consumables". You'll no doubt find loads on ebay......

Belt replacement should be simple DIY. Just make sure it’s the right one for the TT.

I found the right size belt for my rather ancient Technics turntable on eBay, and did the replacement very easily. Definitely worth trying.
