Vanessa, if the Labour Party had offered someone who rational voters could have imagined as PM, then it is highly unlikely that the Conservatives would have romped home in the last election in the way they did. So when you talk about the present PM being an embarrassment, perhaps you should consider why your party made it so easy for him to win ? And yes, Old Jeremiah would have undoubtedly made an even worse balls-up than we have at the moment.

Not 'my' party at all, but although no fan of Mr. Corbyn, he looks almost perfect given the sh*tstorm that characterises the current incumbent of No. 10. It is difficult to imagine there is anybody who could sod things up as much as Johnson has done.

Each Prime Minister we get seems worse than the last. Looking at the possible replacements to Boris I suspect the person replacing him will continue my theory.

As was pointed out in the Sunday Times the other day, at least under FPTP 43% of the electorate get the government they want. Under proportional representation and its requirement for coalitions, such as in Israel, 100% do not.

That is so obviously rubbish that I'm surprised you've put your name to that post. PR is in place in every modern country - so I'm placing the regressive US and the hope to be regressive UK in the category of stuck in the past. It is more representative. It is fairer and clearer. It works. Or are you going to tell me that Germany is a failed state?

If Johnson does go, then the candidates from the current cabinet are indeed a sorry lot - the only qualification required was loyalty to the cult of Brexit nothing else.  All decent one nation Tories were thrown out or left and now there are left UKippers and some rather unpleasant extremists. So many Tory MPs fretting at being asked to wear a piece of fabric as they consider it an attack on liberty whilst voting to take away the right to protest, freedom of movement and allowing people to have their citizenship taken away with no warning or explanation. Hypocrisy much?

Surely the whole cabinet is tarnished by the hypocrisy/sleaze that has been happening.  Sunak and Williamson owning up to parties of their own, before they were leaked - and which others were at the No 10 parties?  If none of those are acceptable, we are left with unknowns who are in various factions: ERG and so on, or the new intake from 2019.
