Hi everyone, looking for recommendations please for removal of a wasp nest from my parents house in East Sheen? Any thoughts appreciated. Thank you!

Thanks Lucy - Richmond Council do not cover pest removal, alas. Some councils do and some don't. I have now managed to find someone though. Thank you!

Have always used Cleankill for pest control problems we could not solve ourselves.

I have a nest at the far end of the garden in an old tree stump.I decided not to destroy it and let nature take its course.There is very little activity now and over winter all the workers will die off. The queen will emerge in Spring to find a new home away from the old nest which would be full of dead wasps.

Adrian, I have always understood that that is what happens as well in their life cycle. I have only ever got rid of wasps nests when they were active and underneath windows and were causing a problem with wasps getting inside. Their nests are the most truly wonderful constructions. Wasps are important pollinators.

The good news is that once they have died off, they don't return to that nest again. So said a council employee when I called them in
