New Car and LB Hounslow CPZ application

I am about to purchase a new car but have never owned one in a London Borough Of Hounslow CPZ.Am I allowed to park in the CPZ bay whilst the application is being processed? If not, where am I supposed to park?

Sonia, on the permits page you can order a month permit while yours is processing. It's about £35 I think.

Thank you.Unfortunately, the temporary permit also takes several days to process. This is an impossible situation.

Have you emailed Serco and asked them what to do they are usually quite helpful and respond quickly in my experience.  They sent me an email which I could put in my car when I changed cars.

You could ask one of your neighbours if they could sell/give you a visitor parking permit (or two) while you wait for the temporary permit.

Yep. Send a polite email explaining your situation to hounslow.permits@serco.com I found them very helpful when I recently changed my car and needed both a temporary code and then an extension to that code because the DVLA is taking an eternity to provide V5 documents.

Why not just order your permit before your car is delivered? Surely not an ‘impossible situation ‘
