COVID Booster - no centres in Chiswick

Does anyone know why there are no vaccination centres in Chiswick, Brentford, Kew or Richmond?I have just booked my COVID booster & had to book it in Ealing and have no idea where the venue is!

I had mine at my GP practice in Dolman Road - not walk-in, but easy to get an appointment.

Hi Gail, my reply was to Julian.Thanks for your advice, when I booked on NHS site there were no Chiswick venues, maybe availability changes so I will keep  checking back.

There were no centres in Chiswick on the National Bookings System for 1st & 2nd doses in Jan & Feb, until Brentford Leisure Centre opened in March, but that appears to have closed in September.  GP led appointments were arranged in the Health Centre.    CP House and Mattock Lane centres in Ealiing are amongst the closest in the booking system and I've only seen good reports about both.

"when I booked on NHS site there were no Chiswick venues" Everyone i know booking on the NHS website has not been offered anywhere in Chiswick. All had 1-2 at hewalth centre but booster has been out of chiswick. Two went to Limegrove Pharmacy on  Goldhawk Road. Ive got my booster in 3 weeks time at CP house. Its past Ealing council on the opposite side and before the fire station.

And there is a walk-in Centre on King St. In neighbouring Hammersmith. 10-4. All welcome.

My partner got a text from NHS Direct earlier this month saying she was eligible for her booster.She went online, but the nearest walk-in centres were in Acton or H'smith, so she booked an appointment for yesterday morning in the CHC on Fishers Lane instead.Meanwhile, I had my own booster at my GP on Wellesley Road last month, following their invitation.

Nothing in Chiswick on NHS booking. Shepherd’s Bush and a month’s wait for me.Don’t understand why can’t my GP can’t do it, oh forgot they can’t do it over the phone.Absolutely an joke the time you need a doctor they go into hiding.

Regarding locations in Kew, I looked a few times at the website to book boosters and a couple of times it did list a location in Kew (Boots in Kew Retail Park) and once it didn't.It might depend on the date and if it is booked out, it doesn't appear on the list of locations.

I went to Ealing Vaccination Centre at CP House a week or so ago. In/out quicker than a ferret up a drainpipe, and no appointment (was) necessary.

The NHS online booking facility seems to have a v odd interpretation of where you actually live, as I live in Ealing Borough it offered me CP House for my 1st & 2nd jab (nothing ever in W4) but when booking my booster it just gave me a load of options in Southall and then Roehampton - CP House, which were v efficient, didn't appear as an option.

I booked online for somewhere in "Sexual" Ealing this Friday, but was then texted by Guy's and St Thomas' Trust to tell me I could get jabbed there.This morning I got a text from the Wellesley Road surgery letting me know there is availability at the Health Centre so I'll be up there on Monday afternoon (I have of course dutifully cancelled my Ealing jaunt).

Got a cab return to Hamlyns Vaccination  Centre in Bloemfontain Rd,Shephed's Bush which the NHS thought was the nearest for me (North Chiswick) on Sunday for booster - had Moderna whereas before had had Astrazenica there.  Quick and efficient, no queue when I went, in and out in 15 mins.  Didn't bother with the 15 minute wait for reaction, I was fine apart from slightly sore upper arm.
