SureCharge Lampost chargers - not working today

I am trying to be green but its so difficult.I had a dirty diesel car and changed to a plug-in hybrid car with Ulez pending in October, with the idea that I would use the lamp post chargers in the Glebe estate and surrounding areas.Seems to be a constant battle every time I need to charge, tonight the chargers are unavailable - I rang the helpline number and was told it a problem at their end and they had been contacted by people all day about it but the problem will get addressed on Monday.The other issue there are not enough points and where there are points they are occupied by cars not using the charging points.Going to queue up tomorrow and try and get some extra petrol.Outstanding Mr Khan + Hounslow Borough.

Where I live in north west Ealing we have four street lights that started playing up (on, off, on and then off for good)that SSE have failed to rectify. They have left them on for 19 days with no end in sight. I could do with lamp post chargers for my hybrid but with these clowns in charge?

Thank you Philippa for suggested links, I live in Southfields Chiswick, so your web links to Ealing charging not really relevant to me, and Zap map is good, but location of other working chargers is quite far away and the Zap Map is not up to date as Sure Charge network isn't included on it yet. I have let those that matter know I need a charging options. I  registered my car a month ago with Hounslow BC, using the online form requesting charging points, which also includes listing the best 5 lamp posts in my EC-1 parking zone- Hounslow claim they will aim to get a least 3 out of 5 locations installed with charging points but it will take 6-9 months. ....and the Sure Charge App is not functioning again today so can't charge the car this evening, to be fair they only took a day to get working after last weekends failure - so expecting it to be working at some point  tomorrow.

Spike says "dirty diesel'. But isn't electric 'dirty' too when considering where the battery components are sourced from re some woebegone African or Asian country (Afghanistan) that operates unsafe means to dig out the Lithium. And, what about reliance on Chairman Xi Jinping of communist China building UK nuclear power stations to supply electricity when the wind doesn't blow for our wind farms? China is a 'filthy nation' for its human rights a part from other 'filth' such as releasing pathogens that cause world pandemics.

I think on the Zap map you can see where chargers have been notified as not working.  With a bit of luck users of chargers will get to know each other and look out for each other a bit.I know that there are sometimes complaints of cars being sat on chargers for much too long.Isn't part of Southfields in LB Ealing and part in LB Hounslow?  I thought there was a road where one side of the road had an LBH waste collection and the other an LBE one.  There is an everlasting argument about where Chiswick begins and ends with estate agents' adverts having a lot to do with that.It's disappointing that that page that the London Council's website leads you to for LBH is not active.
