Bank holiday parking

Hey, so still didnt manage to get the parking sorted. A friend just said that parking is different on a bank holiday weekend and you can park a lot of places without paying or having a permit. I doubt they will be processing my permit over the weekend, but is it going to be ok for me to park outside on Ennismore Avenue over this weekend as it is a Bank Holiday? The council website states that you can park in any council managed bay (so pay and display/resident permit bays etc) without having a permit. Does anyone know if this applies for Ennismore Avenue? We dont have  apay and display box and it just says resident permit holders only, so i'm presuming this falls into the category of parking on bank holiday without displaying? I hope that all makes sense! Hopefully my new permit will be here monday or tuesday! Thanks

It’s worth considering whether our traffic wardens have the day off on Bank holidays. Also I find that generally, all over London, they only patrol near High Streets and stations. Back streets tend to be ignored.

I did look it up and apparently they do work in a lot of areas. Have seen them down our road so i know they definitely come down here, maybe i should have moved to a street further back but it's a little late to be moving it then walking back now. Fingers crossed it's ok. Will update tomorrow with what happens aha!

The relaxation of the parking rules applies only on the Bank Holiday Monday, NOT on the whole of the weekend. So Ennismore Avenue (Zone EC, Mom - Sat, 9 am - 7 pm) has the normal rules on Saturday, free parking on Sunday, and Bank Holiday rules on Monday.  The Bank Holiday rules include free parking in resident bays, and also on single yellow lines within the zone provided they don't have a time plate above the line.

Best get up before 9am Ashleigh and move your car!You can park your car pretty close by on Saturday(St Peters Square is probably the closest) and hopefully you'll have your pass soon.

To be on the safe side you could park in St Peter's Square (restricted Monday to Friday 9-5) that therefore has no parking restrictions on Saturday or Sunday and I assume on a bank holiday but check this just to be sure.

No restrictions in the bays in St Peter's Square on Bank Holidays, but any yellow lines there could be enforced (different councils treat yellow lines differently e.g. in Westminster you can park on a yellow line on a Bank Holiday)

Try Westcroft Square if no space in St Peters as restrictions are the same. Lots of bays there.
