Visitor Parking Permits - Hounslow

So I need some visitor parking permits and see I can apply online - oh good.Online application, you have to download and print a pdf file, fill it out, scan and send. Also supply proof of residence and council tax bill - all of which Hounslow already have! Blistering incompetence.

Disgusting

Shame your visitors can't cycle to you, then you wouldn't need Visitors Parking Permits.

Loraine Pemberton ● 1897d

Pemberton's Law: Every thread must reference cyclists.

irritating rather than disgusting.

First word that came to mind.  I can see Lorraine’s point . 👍

Starting a sentence with ‘So’ irritates me …. So there !!

Anti motorists wanting parking permits makes me chuckle, soI’ll let him off

What are you babbling on about?

Carl Wynne ● 1897d

No idea 😂

When the irony is missed, best to go on the attack. C'mon Carl, surely you can see the humor in you of all people asking about parking? What's next, Paul worried that his mom will get a ticket when she drives to his to see the grandkids?

David Lesniak ● 1897d

What's a 'mom'?

Basil Finnis ● 1897d

What’s a cycle zealot want with parking permits is a far more relevant question.

Maggie Dodge ● 1897d

I don't even have a bike.

Millions of people support football but they don't play it ...

Get a grip you lot.  When the lovely Mr Nelson comes to service my chimney, he needs a permit. When the gas boiler needs an annual service, the technician needs a permit. When the painter spends 2 weeks painting various parts of my house, he too needs permits. My cleaner comes on a bicycle which I have to secure behind the garden door against theft. It is a matter of mix and match rather than a rigid laying down of the law.

Elizabeth it was tongue in cheek. The comments that started us off are those put forward by the more ardent cyclists. They have suggested that we can all manage without cars. Plumbers etc can happily get by with cargo bikes.  My husband is a tradesman and I don’t think he’s up for a cargo bike although that’s not quite his wording.

Areas that require visitors parking permits often have parking between10am to 3pm if you can find a space.  the elderly often have to pay a carerto sort out the on-line application for parking permits.

My parking restriction are 9.30-5.30. Could easily be broken up into two short spells,  if it was for the purpose intended when it was forced on us., but no that would make y life easier,we can’t have that. At least I can pay for my visitors to park using my phone . No need for permits, no need to deal with the Council . Parking permits are one of the many reasons I take umbrage with the Council

Maggie Dodge ● 1897d

Its very stressful for a lot of people who rely on others just to exist, don'tknow what those without carers do,  probably just go without.
